Thank you for visiting our fundraising page in memory of our sister Marilyn. Mental illness is a cause that’s important to us not only because of our sister, but because 1 in 5 people experience a mental health condition each year, yet fewer than one third receive treatment or services.
Marilyn struggled with the demons of mental illness throughout her teen years and all of her adult life. The simple things her brothers and sister take for granted – home, fulfilling work, travel, joyous holiday celebrations, family gatherings around table – she rarely experienced. She passed away still fighting those demons at the age of 63.
NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of all those affected by mental illness. NAMI provides education, support, advocacy and awareness so that we all live better lives.
WE have created this fundraising page to honor Marilyn's memory. We invite you to make a special, enduring gift to NAMI. Your donation would mean so much to us and the lives of people affected by mental illness.
We're grateful for your support during this difficult time.
