Thank you for visiting our family fundraising page in memory of John Matthew Rowe.
Losing John was a loss for all of us -- he was inquisitive, goofy, generous, fantastically kind and simply brilliant. He loved animals, his family and in particular, he loved his girls, Katie and Sarah.
This time is heartbreaking and inexcusable -- how can such an incredible man (brother, husband and father) be lost to us?
In recent years, John had struggled with mental illness and alcoholism. While he sought treatment repeatedly, it was clearly not enough. Or at the very least, it wasn't right for John.
Let's help people with mental illness -- those untreated and those who need new treatment paradigms and modalities. Let's work to build outreach, eliminate stigma and challenge our therapists, our treatment facilities, our pharmacologists to do better.
NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of all those affected by mental illness. NAMI provides education, support, advocacy and awareness so that we all live better lives.
I have created this fundraising page to honor John's memory. I invite you to make a special, enduring gift to NAMI. Your donation would mean so much to me and the lives of people affected by mental illness.
I’m grateful for your support during this difficult time.
